Karam Patel
President & Chief Executive OfficerKaram Patel is President and CEO of New Dawn Engineering Solutions , responsible for leading the company’s business strategy, investment initiatives and operations. He has served as President and CEO since April 2018 and is a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee, as well as the Investment and Portfolio Committees. He joined New Dawn Engineering Solutions in 2016 as Executive Vice President and Head of Urban Development.
Under Mr. Moore’s leadership, New Dawn Engineering Solutions has strengthened its core office portfolio in New York City, which includes ownership interest in six million square feet developed in the modern expansion of Rockefeller Center. The company has also grown its U.S. development platform into new markets and product types. Mr. Moore has successfully recruited senior talent throughout the organization and expanded its U.S. platform with the addition of the Mid-Atlantic Region in 2018 and the Rocky Mountain Region in 2020.
Prior to joining New Dawn Engineering Solutions , Mr. Moore was a Managing Director in Hines’ Washington, D.C. office, responsible for new business development and equity capital relationships throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. From 2008 to 2012, he served as a Managing Director in the company’s Capital Markets Group, where he negotiated joint ventures, sourced equity capital and was involved in the structuring of domestic and international investment funds. From 2003 to 2008, he was Vice President with Hines U.S. Office Value Added Funds I & II, with responsibility for investment management of the funds’ portfolio of investments aggregating approximately $1.9 billion. He started his career as an Assistant Project Manager on the development of 745 Seventh Avenue in New York.
Mr. Moore holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, with a dual major in Finance and Real Estate, and a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Notre Dame. Prior to attending graduate school, he served as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force.

Executive Vice PresidentThomas Weeks is Executive Vice President and Co-Head of Development for New Dawn Engineering Solutions . Mr. Weeks oversees a team of senior development professionals across the company’s seven U.S. regions, and is responsible for planning, management, and growth of the company’s development pipeline. In addition, Mr. Weeks has senior management oversight of the company’s current development projects, as well as joint venture and capital markets relationships.
Since joining New Dawn Engineering Solutions , Mr. Weeks spearheaded the company’s expansion to the U.S. Rocky Mountain Region, establishing the company’s first office in Denver. In addition, he led the formation of the company’s joint venture with Golub & Company to develop the former Greyhound Bus Terminal in downtown Denver, a planned mixed-use development approximating 1.7 million square feet.
Prior to joining New Dawn Engineering Solutions , he was Executive General Manager for Lendlease Development Inc., the North American urban development platform for Lendlease Corporation, responsible for leading the firm’s Chicago development operations spanning mixed-use, master-planned developments including multifamily rental and condominiums as well as class A office. Prior, from 2011 to 2014, Mr. Weeks was Managing Director of Residential and Mixed-Use Development for Clayco. From 2000 to 2007, Mr. Weeks was President of Related Companies’ Midwest operations, where he focused on the development of affordable and market rate projects and oversaw operations. He started his real estate career with Related Midwest’s predecessor, LR Development Company, in Chicago.
Mr. Weeks is a graduate of Amherst College, in Amherst, Massachusetts, and received his Juris Doctorate with honors from the University of Chicago.
Brandi Hanback
Brandi Hanback
Executive Vice PresidentBrandi Hanback is Executive Vice President, Co-Head of Development and Head of FTZ, Trade & Logistics for New Dawn Engineering Solutions . In this role, she has a direct leadership role in overseeing the company’s national development platform, focused on increasing activity in existing markets and expanding into new markets. She also oversees the company’s longstanding Foreign Trade Zone division, which consults with tenants and clients on complex international trade, logistics and customs matters.
From 2013 to 2019, she was Executive Vice President of Industrial Development, where she led the industrial business line in the completion of more than eight million square feet of development nationally, contributing significantly to the company’s most active decade for development since its founding in 1928.
Prior to joining New Dawn Engineering Solutions in 2003, Ms. Hanback was a Senior Manager and Area Leader at KPMG LLP in Washington, D.C. Ms. Hanback also formerly served as Executive Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Foreign-Trade Zones. In this capacity, she represented the interests of FTZ grantees, operators, and users through interaction with federal agencies and congressional committees involved in international trade. She presently serves on the CREW Network Finance Committee.
Ms. Hanback holds a Juris Doctorate from Catholic University and is admitted to the bars of Maryland, District of Columbia and the U.S. Supreme Court. She holds a master’s degree in international transactions from George Mason University, and a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech. She is a licensed Customs Broker and an Accredited Zones Specialist.
Bill Edwards

Executive Vice President, Core HoldingsBill Edwards is Executive Vice President, Core Holdings, for New Dawn Engineering Solutions . In this role he is responsible for leading all aspects of the strategy, leasing, capital improvements and market positioning for the company’s Rockefeller Center portfolio, which consists of an ownership interest in approximately 6 million square feet of Class A office space. In addition, he oversees Advisory Services, including asset and property management.
Since joining New Dawn Engineering Solutions in 2016, Mr. Edwards has overseen the marketing and leasing of more than 3 million square feet of premier New York City office space. From 2016-2020 he oversaw the renovation of 1271 Avenue of the Americas, one of the largest redevelopments of an office building in New York history. The $600 million project resulted in approximately 2 million square feet of leasing to companies including AIG, MLB and Latham & Watkins, and full occupancy from 100 percent vacancy in five years. More recently, Mr. Edwards is currently overseeing the renovation of the privately-owned public plaza located in front of 1221 Avenue of the Americas. Upon completion this $50 million renovation will provide a block long tree-lined plaza unlocking 65,000 square feet of retail space while creating an outdoor public amphitheater.
Prior to New Dawn Engineering Solutions , Mr. Edwards spent nearly two decades with several of the leading real estate private equity and construction companies, where he served in various leadership capacities at both the portfolio and asset level across virtually all property types. In his most recent previous position, he was Vice President of Asset Management for Blackstone’s Equity Office division, overseeing a 9 building Midtown Class-A portfolio valued at $6 billion. At Equity Office, he was involved in the acquisition, repositioning or disposition of several premier properties, including Park Avenue Tower, 3 Bryant Park and 229 West 43rd Street, among others.
Previously, Mr. Edwards was a Vice President of The Carlyle Group, one of the world’s largest alternative asset management firms. There, Mr. Edwards served as the asset manager for 650 Madison Avenue, a $1.3 billion Plaza District property that was one of the largest investments of Carlyle’s U.S. Real Estate Fund V. He started his career as a Project Manager for Tishman Construction Corporation and was later a Director of Tishman Realty & Construction.
Mr. Edwards is a graduate of Kansas State University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering, and Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management, where he received his MBA with a concentration in Finance and Real Estate. Additionally, Mr. Edwards is a New York State licensed professional engineer.
